CraigsList Poster - Semi Automatic Helper
|
Download working Demo
|
CraigsList is a very popular online resource, which allows for visitors
to leave some advertise information (including email addresses and web links).
This information will be viewed for everyone and indexing with search engine robots.
Thus, CraigsList is supposed to be a web resource, which allows for visitor:
- to advertise his products and services
- to create additional references to his website
- to raise his website's link popularity, online awareness and overall visibility.
|
This is why we are working on different tools and programs, which are destined
to lighten a process of inserting and submitting information to CraigsList.
On this way we follow our approach, which was approved in our numerous previous similar tools,
devoted to auto searching and auto submitting. This approach is to provide for user an ability
to control the program behavior during data processing. For this purpose we use one standard
ActiveX object known as "Microsoft Web Browser", which being inserted to our desk application,
allows to monitor and correct the program execution. This is useful as CraigsList requires
presence of human being while data submitting. It shows a shadow picture with verifying word
which can be recognized only by a person.
The current Demo version of the program is implemented as C++ desk application
based on the embedded web browser Internet Explorer and can run on any Windows platform
with installed Internet Explorer 5.0 and above.

How the program works:
1. Download from this page archived file "craigsguest21.zip".
2. Run the file "craigsguest.exe". Program downloads a web page with short instruction
(it is rather to verify that your Internet connection is stable).
3. Fill in the input fields with your desirable information.
The Demo is supplied with an example of inserted records (file "info.txt").
If you change these records at the inputs, the file "info.txt" will be updated with your own info
after pressing the button "Save & Exit".
4. Select a desirable City for posting from the combo box "Cities" and a desirable Service
from the combo box "Service". If you check on the check box "All cities" (or "All services"), the program step-by-step
must to post your message to all cities (or services).
5. Press the button "Post".
Firstly, the program automatically creates new email address and loads it to the input "Your Email".
Program creates a separate email account for each new posting.
Later the program automatically finds and loads to the embedded web browser an appropriate form from CL and fills in
this form with your information for the selected city using this created email address.
User needs:
- to press the button "Continue" on the online form, after form reloading;
- to insert verifying word to the specified input and to press the button "Continue" again;
- to press the button "Accept the terms of use".
6. Press the button "Check Account".
Program goes to the created email account, logins there and opens it in the embedded web browser.
User needs to open a back email from CraigsList site and click on the verification link.
Program opens CL page, where User can publish/edit/delete posted information at CraigsList.
7. Press the button "Post" again to post your message to the next City (or to another selected City),
and so on.
8. Button "Check Old Emails".
Back verification emails may appear in the appropriate email accounts with some delay after posting.
This is why the program has ability to store all created email addresses (which were used for posting)
to file "emailused.txt". After several postings press this button and the program will processed these
emails one-by-one similar to the operation "Check Accounts".
9. Note, that the current Demo is limited with only 4 postings at once to avoid spamming CraigList.
